instalment is payable. The due dates for
2009/2010 are:
- 20 August 2009

How you can pay your rates
Payment may be made by:

In person
Rates can be paid in person by cash, cheque or EFTPOS at the Civic Centre
or any branch of ANZ.
You can also make payment by cheque or EFTPOS (no cash
accepted) at the New Lynn
War Memorial Library,
or
Massey Library,
or Glen Eden Library
or Te Atatu
Peninsula Library or
Titirangi Library.
Note: An original rates notice must be presented for the
ANZ bank to process the payment. This is because the original notice has a barcode printed on the bottom so the money can be allocated to the correct account.

Direct debits (Autorate)
A direct debit is when you give the Council permission to deduct money from your bank account at the frequency you choose. If the direct debit is set up as a variable amount Council will automatically adjust the payments so your account will always be kept current.
You have the option of nominating a fixed amount to come out each week. Fixed amounts must be at a rate to keep the account up to date, and paid in full on
the penalty date, otherwise a penalty will be incurred.

Paying rates by credit card
You can now pay your rates with your Visa or MasterCard card
online. The service

Another payment option available to customers is automatic payment. An automatic payment is set up with your bank and means that a certain amount of money is transferred from your bank account to pay your rates account on set dates.
