Library Vouchers - Terms and Conditions of use
 Free DVD Or CD Rental Vouchers
Waitakere Libraries may from time to time offer its customers, vouchers for
free DVD or CD rental/s
These may be offered as part of a library event or promotion, or in place of a
cash refund, where a customer has been issued a damaged rental DVD or CD which
would not play correctly.
These vouchers can be redeemed for either one free DVD or two free CD rentals at
any Waitakere Libraries branch, including our mobile library. The following
conditions apply:
- DVD/CD vouchers can be redeemed at any Waitakere Libraries branch
(excluding the mobile library, except in place of paid renewals)
- DVD/CD rental vouchers may only be used once.
- Distribution of DVD / CD rental vouchers is left to the discretion of
library staff. Waitakere Libraries reserves the right to issue, or not to
issue vouchers, depending on the situation. Library staff are under no
compulsion to issue vouchers, regardless of any precedents that customers
may have experienced previously.
- DVD/CD rental vouchers are valid for three months from the date of
issue. The voucher must be validated by library staff prior to being issued.
Waitakere Libraries reserves the right to consider a voucher invalid if it
does not have a date of issue recorded on the back, or if the voucher has
expired.
- DVD/CD rental vouchers are not redeemable for cash and no change will be
given if a voucher is not fully redeemed.
- Normal rental terms apply when hiring any DVD or CD.
- DVD / CD Rental Vouchers may be not be redeemed for any other library
service or as payment for any fee or overdue charge.
 Mix Collection Vouchers (Free Game Rental)
Waitakere Libraries may from time to time offer it's customers, vouchers for
a free "Mix Collection" rental.
Our "Mix Collection" includes: PC games, Interactive CD-Roms, Playstation 2 & 3
games, Xbox & Xbox 360 games, Wii Games.
This may be offered as part of a library event or promotion, or in place of a
cash refund, where a customer has been issued a "Mix Collection" rental which
did not function correctly, or would not "play".
These vouchers can be redeemed for one free "Mix collection" rental, the
following conditions apply:
- MIX vouchers may only be used once.
- MIX collection items are only available "on-shelf" at Waitakere Central
Library, but can be requested to be picked up from any library branch, or
renewed at any branch (paid renewal).
- Distribution of Mix Vouchers is left to the discretion of library staff.
Waitakere Libraries reserves the right to issue, or not to issue vouchers,
depending on the situation. Library staff are under no compulsion to issue
vouchers, regardless of any precedents that customers may have experienced
previously.
- MIX vouchers are valid for three months from the date of issue.
The

 Bestseller Vouchers (Rent 3, get one free)
Waitakere Libraries currently has an ongoing promotion, where for every three
"Best-Seller" books hired ($5.00 for 14 days), a customer is eligible to receive
one free "Best-Seller" book "hire".
This promotion is offered, subject to the following terms and conditions:
- Upon borrowing a "Best-Seller" book, a customer can be given a "Bestseller
Voucher" card. This card is to be stamped by Library Staff after each paid
rental, or paid renewal of a Best-Seller. In order to be valid for one free
rental, the voucher must have been stamped three times.
- After the customer has borrowed three "Best-Seller" books, they will be
entitled to one free "Best-Seller" hire, upon presentation of the completed
"Best-Seller Voucher" card. A bestseller card is considered "completed" when it
has been stamped three times.
- Bestseller cards are valid for an indefinite period from the date of issue;
however, Waitakere Libraries reserves the right to cancel this promotion at any
time, by giving one month's notification via library branches.
- The completed card can be redeemed at any Waitakere Libraries branch, or at
our mobile library.
- Normal rental terms apply when hiring any Bestseller.
- "Best-Seller Cards" may not be redeemed for cash, or any other goods or
services from Waitakere Libraries besides those explicitly implied.
