Joining & Using Waitakere Libraries

Membership is free.
Visit your local library with both photo and address ID (e.g. driver's
licence or passport, rate account or bill).
You can
apply
online or visit your nearest Waitakere library and a staff member will be
able to assist you further. We require proof of your address (e.g. a printed
account) and also personal ID (e.g. driver's licence).
If you are under 18, your parent, guardian or homestay host or agent must
sign your membership form.
Once you have your library card you may use it at any branch.
Please contact us immediately if your card
is ever lost or stolen.

How to avoid Charges
Important Information.

Forgotten your PIN?
Call 09 839 2260 or
email
us and we will be able to assist you with your PIN number (Available 24 hours -
7 days a week).
When sending us an email please ensure you supply the following details:
- Your Library card number (barcode)
- Your Full Name
- Your Address
- Your Date of Birth
You will receive an email when your PIN has been reset. Next time you log in
leave the PIN number field blank and you will be prompted to enter a new PIN.

Pay Online
Pay Online is a new Library service which gives you the choice to pay charges
online using a credit card.
Paying online is easy:
- Log in to
My Info
from the Library homepage
- Click on "Paying Fines"
- Click "Pay fines and charges" and choose the items you wish to pay
- Enter credit card details
- You will receive confirmation of payment upon completing the transaction
All Pay Online transactions operate through a secure payment platform.
