Community Funding
Waitakere City Council supports a wide range of
groups in the community who provide local services and
activities on a voluntary or 'not for profit'
basis by providing a range of funding opportunities
and services to the community. The aim is to
help local community groups to operate effectively and
provide services to meet local needs. |

Research report for fundseekers
In 2008 a number of grantmakers worked together to
produce a research and scoping paper on making things
simpler for fundseekers.
The research, prepared by Adrian Feasey, explores ways in
which funders can make the process of applying for grants,
and accounting for them, simpler.
It was produced for a group of organisations with an
interest in the funding of community agencies in Waitakere:
Community Waitakere, J R McKenzie Trust, Tindall Foundation,
Waitakere City Council, Waitakere Licensing Trusts and ASB
Community Trust.
We hope it will encourage funders – individually and
together with other funders – to look for opportunities to
make their processes more user-friendly.

Adobe Acrobat Reader
installed on your computer in order to view and print these documents. For
