Working Dogs
The term 'Working Dog' applies to any disability assist dog,
police, biosecurity, MAF, DOC, and any dog kept solely for
the purpose of herding.
For a more comprehensive definition see Dog Control Act 1996
(s2) and the information supplied below.

Declaration of a dog as a
full-time working dog
Please complete this form if you are registering a dog/s which is a full time
working dog under the definition in the Dog Control Act 1996. This
enables you to be eligible for the substantial discount. Under
the legal definition the dog/s must be used solely for working stock, and
the stock must not be of a wild nature (i.e. pig dogs are not eligible).
The form only needs to be completed once and then will remain on our systems
for future reference. If the dog is retired, we must be made aware of this. You
may also be subject to a property check if we need further clarification (we
would pre-warn if this is the case).
If you have a disability assist dog you do not need to complete in this form, but
just need to produce documentation from the dog provider for our records.
Note: You will need to have
Adobe Acrobat Reader
installed on your computer in order to view and print this document. For
