New Zealand First DVD to promote Waitakere City and Auckland region

Location Auckland and Waitakere, New Zealand is a DVD developed between Waitakere City Council (through Waitakere Enterprise), Auckland City Council and Zoomslide Media to market Waitakere City - and the Auckland region generally - as an international film location.

The DVD contains about 3 hours of content including: stunning location footage, examples of previous films and television commercials made here, endorsements from film makers and music.

It will be distributed to producers and location managers and other film industry decision makers, world-wide as a marketing exercise to attract new film business to the region. Copies will be sent to known contacts and others will be distributed at location expos and film festivals, world wide.

It will also be available to local production companies.

Mayors Bob Harvey and John Banks appear on the video as do many New Zealanders who are well known to the film industry at home and abroad. Many of the big names in local production of film television and music have also collaborated with the project.

The work of promoting Auckland region as a film venue will probably be co-ordinated in future, by a new organisation called Film Auckland.

Location Auckland and Waitakere is also the first large scale DVD production undertaken in New Zealand and significantly increases the technological capability in this country.

For more information about the DVD visit www.zoomslide.com.
