Children's Christmas Giftmaking
Christmas giftmaking is an event where children can come
and make gifts for their families.
Every year local businesses generously donate resources
and volunteers come along to help children and a wide
variety of gifts are made. It is a chance for children to
give a little back to their families and to learn that
Christmas doesn't have to come out of a store. Children
register for a morning or afternoon session. Parents must
accompany their children.
Last year's event on 6 December saw 800 children and over 200 volunteers enjoyed a very
productive day making a variety of Christmas gifts for their
families.
Christmas
Giftmaking 2009 on Saturday 5 December
saw 800 children and over 200 volunteers enjoy a very
productive day making a variety of Christmas gifts for their
families.
Christmas Giftmaking 2010 is planned for
Saturday 5 December (to be confirmed closer to the date).
