Standard
and Poor's Credit Rating
Waitakere City Council obtained a Standard and Poor's
Credit Rating on October 30, 2003. The Standard and Poor's
Credit Rating is an independent assessment of the credit
worthiness of the Council. The Credit Rating provides
Council with greater financial market opportunities, gives
Council a more transparent market profile and benchmarks
Council against other councils and organisations.
On an annual basis Standard and Poor's will conduct further
assessments of the Council. With the issue of a Credit
Rating, Standard and Poor's release a Rationale Report
detailing their analysis of the Council.
Waitakere City Council's long term credit rating is A+
(stable) and short term credit rating is A1.
