Agrichemical Reduction Policy (Size 330K)
The Agrichemical Reduction Policy sets the direction for Council to manage land in a sustainable manner to reduce the requirement to use agrichemicals, and to choose least toxic alternatives.
Animal Pest Control (Size 330K)
This five year work programme is designed to implement the objectives and targets in the Waitakere Animal Pest Strategy.

Annual Plan

The aim of the Community Assistance Policy is to help local community groups to operate effectively and provide services to meet local needs.

This plan sets out how, over the next ten years, the Council will help to provide buildings for the community to use.

This policy sets out the principles of interaction and the approach for community involvement in decision making.
Community Safety In Waitakere City (Size 247K)
The Good Practice Guide for Council Staff provides a structure for prioritising community safety in all council activities. The Guide has been produced in consultation with staff and with other professionals with an interest in community safety both nationally and internationally.
Comprehensive Urban Stormwater Strategy and Action Plan or CUSSAP
In 1999, Waitakere City Council and EcoWater Solutions obtained funding from the Sustainable Management Fund, a section of the Ministry for the Environment. This money has been used to develop and implement a comprehensive strategy and action plan for the long-term, sustainable management of stormwater within Waitakere City.
Conditions of Contract for Consultancy Services (Size 300K)
The latest version of the long form professional services contract for use by all Auckland Regional Councils commencing 1 July 2004 - Auckland Region Local Authorities Conditions of Contract for Consultancy Services. Council will be adopting these conditions of contract as the basis for our long form Professional Services contracts in August/September.
Community Leases Policy (Size 92K)
This policy tells interested groups all they need to know about leasing land or a building from Council.
Crime Prevention Strategy (Size 76K)
During 2003, the Council undertook a review of its crime prevention strategies and relationships.
Cycling Strategy (Walking and Cycling Strategy) (Size 414K)
The purpose of this strategy is to cover the development of cycle routes and footpaths and promote the health and fitness benefits of walking and cycling and reduce the negative impacts of motor vehicles by replacing as many car journeys as possible with journeys taken on foot or by bike.

Replaces the Official Information Directory.  It is a collection of information about the processes that Council uses to engage with the city's residents.  It outlines how Council makes decisions and shows how residents can influence those processes.
Long Term Council Community Plan (LTCCP)
This plan sets out a planning process for 10 years ahead to deliver clear goals that have been agreed between the Council and the Community.  It must be formally updated every three years.
New Formal Council Relationships Policy December 2005
The policy sets out a process for the Council and external organisations to follow when considering whether to enter into a new formal relationship.
Northern and Western Sectors Agreement (Size 1745K)
This agreement sets out how the allocated growth capacities for these two sectors can be accommodated in appropriate locations, form, and sequencing over the next 20 years.
