Explanation

Waitakere City Council has received a notice of requirement for an alteration to a designation from the Auckland Regional Council. The notice of requirement is an alteration to the existing Waitakere Ranges Regional Park Designation in the Waitakere City Operative District Plan. The designation is for regional park purposes.

The alteration extends the area of the designation to include areas not previously designated. It also amends the text of the designation with respect to regulation of works for regional park purposes. The requirement includes all the land currently designated for parks purposes and the following additional sites:

Lots 1-5 and 7 DP 146127, Big Muddy Creek, Laingholm;
Area A SO Plan 64997, Whatipu Scenic Reserve, Whatipu;
Lots 59-60 DP 25109, Lot 3 DP 31544, Stedfast Park, Piha;
Lot 200 DP 347095, Kitewaho Road, Swanson;
Lot 2 DP 318085, Titirangi Beach Road, Titirangi;
Lot 57, DP 21508, 28 Turangi Road, Waiatarua;
Lot 1 DP 197569, 71 Turangi Road, Waiatarua

Submissions closed at 5pm on Monday 8 March 2010.
Copies of the notice of requirement may be inspected at the following locations: Waitakere City Council, 6 Henderson Valley Road Henderson and Waitakere Libraries.
