Waitakere City has an extensive network of regional
parks, local parks,
riparian margins and esplanade reserves which all make up
our natural environment. These all help to connect our
waters to our mountains as well as allow people to connect
to nature.
In Waitakere, the landscape can be referred to as the
Green
Network.
Waitakere City Council works hard to protect our natural
environment to create a healthy city for all the people, as
well as plants and animals.
