The Waitakere Workers Educational Association (WEA) has an agreement with the Council to provide a variety of services in the city.
It is contracted to provide support and assistance to the staff and management committees of the City’s
six
community houses. This includes identifying and facilitating training needs, providing information, assisting with advertising, budgeting and business plans and administering the Community House Training Fund.
This role will be re-addressed annually as needs change and the work of the WEA evolves.
It also provides both the houses and residents with information about community education, adult literacy and training courses.
