Settlement Support can help
It's not always easy to find the information you need about employment, education, health services and many other aspects of living in New Zealand. The biggest challenge is knowing where to find this information.

Ayumi and Liz are Settlement Support coordinators for Waitakere city and they can help you access all the information you'll need to know when settling in Waitakere. This is a free service available to all newcomers.

New Out West

New Out West is a network of government and non-government agencies and community groups concerned with migrant and refugee issues. They meet monthly to share information and jointly focus on planning for local settlement needs. Working with New Comers

If you would like to work with new comers settlement support can help by connecting you with agencies in Waitakere.

Your chance to make a world of difference!!!

Refugee Support Volunteers:

  • Provide practical support for refugees' initial six months here
  • Help out people who have left everything behind
  • Learn about new cultures and explain about life in New Zealand

Training begins 11 June 2008.

Register now!! RMS Refugee Resettlement is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation. Our NZQA-accredited 20-hour volunteer training program equips you with the skills and knowledge needed to give practical support to refugee families.

Settlement Support are organizing a bus tour for new comers on the 24th June. If you are a NZ resident living in Waitakere City, have been in the country for less than 5 years and are actively seeking work you can join us on our exciting tour.
