Community Board Minor Park Projects Consultation 2010/2011
Applications closed 4pm, Friday
16 July 2010.
Introduction
Each of the four
Community Boards in Waitakere City has a discretionary budget available for minor park
development projects. Waitakere City Council invites you to contribute suggestions for small community
projects that you consider could be a suitable use of this budget.
Projects should be located in council-owned parks or
open space. The maximum cost of any one project
should be less than $10,000 although applications
can be made for projects costing up to $20,000.
During the 2008/2009 financial year, twenty three
projects around Waitakere were completed with funding allocated by the Community Boards through
the Community Board Minor Parks Projects fund. A list of suggestions and estimated costs is available
under List of Suggestions for Minor Parks Projects.
Some examples of completed projects are:
- Playground improvements and picnic table at
Whenuapai Hall Reserve
- Repair and upgrade of Te Atatu town centre
Christmas tree lights
- Two macrocarpa picnic tables at Huia Domain
- New pathway to Glenora Eagles Clubrooms in
Harold Moody Park
If you would like to suggest a project, please
complete and return the application form.
