Household rubbish collection

A weekly collection service provided to all the households throughout the city, on a ‘user pays’ basis. The official “grey” bag cost $1.80 from supermarkets, and a range of convenience stores such as service stations and dairies.

Household collection on a public holiday

There are no rubbish and recycling collections on these days:

• Good Friday
• ANZAC Day - 25 April
• Christmas Day - 25 December
• New Year's Day - 1 January

If your normal collection falls on these days, the collection will occur the following day.

Commercial rubbish collection

Refuse collection service provided to the businesses in the City on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays on a "user pays" basis, utilising the grey user pays bag purchased from supermarkets etc.  A recycling collection service is also available to those businesses.
