Group Exercise is one of the fastest growing trends in
the fitness industry and West wave are proud to announce
that we are expanding our group exercise programme -
significantly!
West Wave recently became licence holders for Les Mills
Group Fitness Classes. Timetable and Class descriptions available on this
site, or at West Wave Reception).

Classes offered
At West Wave we offer a variety of group exercise
classes, both on land and in the pools.
Most of these are
free to Swim and Gym members, Swim only members can attend
most Aqua classes free of charge. For non members, aqua
classes cost $8.30 and land classes $10.30 per session -
concession cards are available.
The programmes are suitable for all levels of fitness and
experience. Classes and instructors are subject to change
without notice.

H20
Enjoyable low to moderate intensity. A step up from
Aqua Flex.

Active Teens Programme
A 5 week Fitness Centre Introductory course that is run on
Tuesday and Thursday afternoons at 3.40pm for 14 and 15 year
olds.
Body
Attack

A high energy and really achievable sports-inspired workout,
combining athletic exercises and powerful music to build
cardio stamina, strength and agility. Designed to
develop your general fitness faster than any other
programme, it is the perfect preparation for sports like
rugby, tennis or running. Find out when the classes are on.
Body
Balance

A unique blend of Yoga, Pilates and Tai Chi exercises to
build flexibility and develop core muscle strength.
Controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully
structured series of stretches and postural moves to music
create a workout that brings the body into a state of
harmony. It's the best programme to provide recovery
to your body.
Body
Combat

An empowering and fiercely energetic cardio workout inspired
by a wide variety of martial arts and supported by driving
music. A magic compilation of punches, kicks and moves
to get you to superior cardio fitness and agility while
fighting your way to the level of fitness you deserve.
Boot Camp
Boot Camp is a high intensity circuit training class for
those who want to GET FIT, LOSE WEIGHT & HAVE FUN!
Boot Camp is led by an ex-army physical training instructor
who will motivate you to work hard, push yourself and
achieve your goals! Find out when the

Body
Jam

A dance cardio workout where funky instructors teach you to
move with attitude and style. An addictive fusion of
the latest dance styles and hottest new sounds puts the
emphasis as much on having fun as breaking a sweat - it's
where cardio vascular fitness meets urban culture!

Body Pump

Body Pump is the original fat-burning class that uses
barbells to give you the fastest way to tone and condition
muscles! The best weight training exercises are
combined with great music to strengthen and shape your
entire body. You choose the intensity in choosing your
weights. One class equals 3 - 4 individual weight

Body Step
Body Step is the ultimate way to give your body a high energy
cardioblast and tone the hips and thighs. With over
2,000 steps per session you'll see results in record time.
Get in step with one of the best fitness classes the world
has to offer.
Body Step/Pump Combo
Step/Pump Combo is a class that will blast and shape your
muscles and get a great high energy abs, butt and thigh
workout.
Body Vive

Body Vive is the low impact group fitness workout that lets
you choose just how hard you work. Using the Vive
balls, Vive tubes, you're talked step-by-step through the
entire class by a skilled instructor, while listening to
uplifting and inspiring music. Best of all, you finish
feeling thoroughly rejuvenated - and fizzing with energy. Find out when the classes are on.
CRC (Cardiac Rehabilitation Club)
A gentle and safe
exercise class, ideal for older adults and for those with
cardiac concerns.

Fighting Fitness
A heart thumping boxing workout. This class
consists of boxing combinations, bodyweight exercises and
running drills. Pair up with a partner - take out your
stress and fight your way to fitness. Boxing
gloves and focus mitts are a must.
Hydrodynamic
No impact! This class helps to increase overall strength and
aerobic conditioning with the aid of a flotation device. A
class designed to improve fitness for all ages and levels of
ability. Also a higher energy class. Find

Hydrotherapy
A low impact class, which helps to increase mobility,
strength and flexibility. Specifically designed for
those who suffer from arthritis, joint and circulation
problems or have limited mobility. Held in the warm,
private hydrotherapy pool. Find out when

Kids Circuit Club
A class that is run on Monday afternoons at 3.40pm for 8 -
13 year olds. It is mainly fitness based involving games and
activities.
RPM

Take the ultimate ride with your motivating instructor who
leads the pack for a 50 minute interval training indoor
cycle - the equivalent of a 20 km ride through the hills,
flats, mountain peaks - all set to the addictive rhythm of
powerful music. You choose your personal aerobic
intensity as you burn up to 900 calories per hour! Find

Splash
& Shape
Trim down and tone up! Low impact but not low energy.

TYR Fitness Squad
The perfect way to start your day! TYR Fitness Squad
is ideal for those who want to improve their swimming
technique and get fit, in a fun and friendly environment.
Train for Harbour Swims, She Tri, 1/2 Ironman and Ironman
competitions.

Thursday 6 - 7 am & 7.15 - 8.15 am
