Notes

Note 3 A sediment control inspection fee of $175.00 will be required for each Building Consent, where there is no resource consent and earthworks are involved.
Note 4 Should the application involve a "Pre-Application" meeting, this will be charged at designated hourly rate of each discipline.
Note 5 The indicative quantity and type of required construction review inspections will be determined during the processing phase of the building consent. An invoice totalling the required inspections will be generated and must be paid at the time of issue of the building consent. Should further inspections (additional inspections or re-inspections resulting from failed inspections) be required thorough-out the construction and certification phases of the building consent, these will be charged as and when required and shall be payable within 14 days or prior issue of Code Compliance Certificate, whichever is the sooner. Where the time on site is greater than 1 hour the applicant will be charged for additional inspections.
Note 6 Where an inspection is cancelled after 3:00pm on the working day prior the scheduled inspection, a cancellation fee of $51.00 per cancellation applies and shall be payable within 14 days or prior issue of Code Compliance Certificate, whichever is the sooner.
Note 7 In the event Saturday building inspections be offered, a surcharge of $52.00 per inspection applies and shall invoiced separately and be payable within 14 days or prior issue of Code Compliance Certificate, whichever is the sooner.

All Cheques (should the total amount exceed $3000.00) carry the business standard of 5 working days clearance before uplifting documentation.

Other building consent related costs and charges

1 All work valued at $20,000 or more is subject to the following payable upon lodgement. (Indicative only as set by external agency) -
a. 1. Building Research Levy - $1 per $1000 of total value.
b. 2. Building Levy - $1.97 per $1000 of total value.
2 Other charges such as water meter connection, street damage bonds and fees, are additional to the above fees schedule. These charges are payable within 14 working days from invoice date or prior to issue of consent, whichever is sooner.
3 Some applications may also be subject to additional fees under the Resource Management Act, and where Council costs exceed the specified fee an additional fee will be chargeable calculated at the rate contained in the attached schedule. These charges are payable within 14 working days from invoice date or prior to issue of consent, whichever is sooner.
4 Due to the nature of some applications or the incorporation of specialist services Council may, at its discretion, refer these applications to consultants for checking. The fees and charges incurred will be additional to the fees identified on this schedule and may also incur a 10% administration and handling fee. These charges are payable within 14 working days from invoice date or prior to issue of consent, whichever is sooner.
5 Development Contributions: Where the application is deemed a 'Development', a reserve contribution and other financial contributions will be required, in addition to any fees and charges and are payable within 14 working days from invoice date or prior to issue of consent, whichever is sooner.
6 In the event of a dispute in respect of the estimated value of building work declared, the value will be assessed by Consent Services using standard average regional building costs for different categories and standards of building works, using published construction cost guides.

Where Council costs exceed specified base charge, the applicant will be charged additional costs calculated at the designated rate for that role. Other disciplines have involvement in these consents and will be separately charged out at their designated hourly rate.
