Mobility Parking - or accessible parking - is the scheme whereby special parking spaces and other parking privileges are provided to people with disabilities.
The scheme is administered by NZ
CCS and the rules are very simple:
Only members or people driving members may use Mobility Parking
People using Mobility Parking must display a current permit
No Permit, No Park, No exceptions (I lost or forgot my card is not an acceptable excuse)
Parking enforcement officers in Waitakere City and throughout the Auckland Region will issue an infringement notice to anybody using a Mobility Parking space without displaying a current permit. Vehicles may also be towed.
