Paremuka

Paremuka LakesideWatch it transform...  Paremuka is Waitakere's newest park and a major restoration project.  Some clever design features have also made it a landscape design award winner.

It's a place to play but the lake also provides safe places for local wildlife and helps to catch, store and purify water from the Paremuka Stream.

From the viewing platform you can observe the newest inhabitants - guardians of the lake...the ducks, pukekos and the impressive 'Eel Man' sculpture.

For children (and adults) there is a jetty for launching toy boats.

Paremuka is the perfect place for an evening stroll and an excellent destination for those with pushchairs or on bikes.

How to get there

Head towards Swanson Drive along Metcalfe Rd, turn into Munroe Rd, then Charlene Close or arrive via Hillwell Drive, off Harvest Drive from Sturges Road.
