Who
Invented What When
Here's a handy book that tells you about many of the worlds cleverest inventions
and the people who created them.
Who invented what when by
David Ellyard is a useful reference book. The author gives us examples of
inventions from 1500 to the present day. These include innovations like the
stethoscope, photocopiers, radar, steam engines, blood transfusion, satellites,
cash registers, ultrasound, microchips, and even potato chips.
The author keeps things simple. Explanations are not too technical. There is an
index for inventors and another for inventions. There is also a timeline showing
inventions in various fields over time. The author ends with a section where he
ponders the future of technology.
Who invented what when is for use in the library only.
