At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them
ANZAC Day is the anniversary of the landing of the New Zealand and Australian
and Army at Gallipoli in 1915.
In 1916, the first anniversary of that landing,
services were held throughout the country in remembrance of the New Zealand
soldiers who died during the Gallipoli Campaign. Now we observe that anniversary
as ANZAC Day.
Waitakere Library & Information Services

who fought in battle and did their best for others and their children's future.
