About this centre

It is close to community amenities such as the Te Atatu Library, the Community House, main street shops, and it also backs on to Jack Pringle Park.

Because of its location, it is easy to reach and accessible from all Waitakere City areas, and Auckland City.

The Centre provides an excellent venue for activities such as:

  • Weddings
  • Socials
  • Concerts
  • Festivals
  • Markets
  • Indoor sporting events 
  • Community based activities

The Centre has a main hall with a capacity for 400. The hall has a basketball court, two badminton courts, a full size volleyball court and a stage.

A sound system is available (which can be hired at minimum cost). 

There is a well equipped kitchen, which caters for the main hall (and meeting room if booked consecutively) with serving benches on either side. Kitchen facilities include a fridge, stove, pie-warmer and hot water zip.

Adjacent to the main hall is a meeting room with a capacity of up to 150. This room contains a small kitchenette with a fridge and hot water zip and a whiteboard is affixed to the wall.

There is also an activity room with the capacity for 50 people. This is self-contained room with an equipped kitchen (stove, microwave, pie-warmer, fridge and hot water zip), toilets and a whiteboard on the wall.

Ample chairs and tables are provided for each room.

A TV/video is available for hire.

 

Booking this Centre

Before booking a Community Centre, please ensure you have the following information available:

  • The nature of your event or meeting
  • The number of people expected
  • The Centre and room(s) required (contact us for help if you are unfamiliar with the Centres)
  • The date and time of your required booking
  • Any equipment requirements

Once your booking is confirmed you will receive information on the Conditions of Hire, the fire evacuation procedures and your booking number. You will need your booking number when you pick your key(s) up.
