Code Compliance Certificate
In order to apply for a code compliance certificate, all inspections including final building and final plumbing and drainage must be completed before submitting the code compliance application form.
The information supplied on the application form is used in the creation of the code compliance document; as such it is essential that you complete all sections of the application form. Failure to do so will result in your application being rejected.
The statutory timeframe to process a code compliance certificate is 20
working days.
The Building Act 2004 requires that an application for a code compliance
certificate must be made within 2 years from the date the building consent was
granted.
Any cost incurred by the Council, in addition to the inspections paid for on
issue of the building consent (ie re-inspection fees), will be payable prior to
issuing of the Code Compliance Certificate.
