Henderson Vineyards Business Campus is the name of Waitakere City Council's vision for a special piece of land at the entrance to the city.

Introduction

John Barnett is the Managing Director of South Pacific Pictures Ltd, a company that is the most prolific producer of film and television drama in New Zealand. At its Henderson site 100 core staff are employed.

It also saves time and money having a range of film locations on our doorstep - within 25 kilometres we've got access to urban and suburban scenes as well as fields, farms, beaches, and the Waitakere Ranges. Our staff café looks out over bush, mangroves and water. Everybody loves coming out here. We have to convince some people who are stuck in town that it's not that far. They soon realise that the trip from TVNZ in Hobson Street to Henderson is much faster than getting to Parnell from Central Auckland. The number of access points to the motor-way is also a plus. We're very happy here."
