Notice of Road Closure

 Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Clause 11(a) of the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974, that there will be road closures associated with the following:

• Oratia Bridge Opening Closure

To be in effect from 9:00 am to 1 .00 pm on Saturday 12 December 2009.

• Great North Road, Henderson between Ratanui Street and Edsel Street

Any objections to the above closure are to be received in writing, no later than Thursday 26 November 2009. Objections are to be forwarded to: Jane Harris Transport Assets Waitakere City Council Private Bag 93 109 Henderson Waitakere City 0650.

Waitakere City Council - Notice of Intention to consider road closures

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Clause 11(a) of the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974, that there will be road closures associated with the following event:

Glen Eden Christmas Parade

On Saturday 28 November 2009 from 10.00 am to 2.30 pm, the following roads will be closed:

• West Coast Road (between Glendale and Bowers Roads)
• Bowers Road (between West Coast and Wilson Roads)
• Wilson Road (between Bowers and Captain Scott Roads)
• Captain Scott Road (between Wilson Road and Glenmall Place)
• Glenmall Place (between Captain Scott and Glendale Roads)

Waitakere City Council - Notice of Intention to consider road closures

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Clause 11(a) of the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974, that there will be road closures associated with the following event:

New Lynn Santa Parade

On Saturday 21 November 2009 from 6.00 am to 3.00 pm, the following roads will be closed:

• Great North Road (between Veronica Street and Titirangi Road)
• Totara Avenue (between Great North Road and Veronica Street)
• Memorial Drive
• Delta Avenue (between Reid Rod and Great North Road) and
• Hugh Brown Drive

Titirangi Library closure

Titirangi Library will be closed from 5.30pm on Tuesday 28 July until further notice to allow for refurbishment and the building of a small extension.

Items can still be deposited in the returns slot at Titirangi Library during this time.

Public Notices - Agrichemical Applications

• Berm spraying - involves spraying environmental weed species growing on the roadside berm. Required control of these plants depends on the species type and size of the population.
• Roadside spraying - involves spraying vegetation growing in the gutter and curb cracks, also where required spraying along roadside paths and around street furniture.
• Town Centre Spraying - carried out in the commercial areas of our towns; such as New Lynn and Henderson. This spraying is carried out four (4) times per year.

For the control of roadside vegetation.

Agrichemical(s) to be used are Glyphosate and/or Metsulfuron, all of which are approved for this purpose.
