About Reserve Management Plans

Background Information

Te Pai Park is a popular and vibrant park located in urban Henderson. Te Pai Park provides for both formal sport and casual recreational opportunities, attracting local communities and people from the wider Waitakere region. Te Pai Park is located in a key visual location with an expanse of green open space at the Lincoln Road frontage. Te Pai Park plays an important role within the surrounding communities, through providing for a wide range of recreational opportunities such as, a skate park, BMX bowl and playground.  Te Pai park is also the base for Netball Waitakere, who have plans for expansion, and Te Pai Tennis.  The green open space area provides an area for events such as Summerslamz and for passive recreation opportunities.

The draft Reserve management Plan was developed following an initial round of public submissions and comments.

The second round of submissions was to the draft Te Pai Park Reserve Management Plan.  All submissions received, and proposed amendments to the Draft Te Pai Park Reserve Management Plan based on comments raised in the submissions, will be presented to City Development Committee in February 2008.
