The Quality of Life report is a comprehensive document
comparing the quality of life in Waitakere and eleven other
cities in New Zealand. The 2007 report contains over

connectedness, civil and political rights, economic standard
of living, economic development, and the natural and built
environments.
Waitakere City Business and Economy Report (2007)
This 28 page document prepared by BERL provides
information on the Waitakere economy such as number of
businesses and employees, the fastest growing industries,
value added gross domestic product (GDP), tourism, and
housing (including information on changes in house prices).
Also included is a summary table with key indicators from
1994-2007 and comparisons with Auckland Region and New

Wellbeing Report (2004)
The
Waitakere Wellbeing Report 2004 is an update on two
comprehensive Wellbeing Reports produced by Waitakere City
Council in 1996 and 1998. The purpose of the report is
to reflect some of the key wellbeing issues facing Waitakere
City and, where possible, track changes over time. It
aims to form, highlight issues, celebrate successes, and
provide a starting point for discussion and advocacy.
The 2004 report has been produced collaboratively with
representatives from the community, local government and
central government sectors.

While now dated in parts, this
report provides some useful additional information on
Waitakere not available elsewhere.
