I'm really proud to tell
all my friends about being a water
ambassador, and some of them have joined the
club. I enjoy playing soccer and basketball
at school and at home. My favourite colour
is green and I love eating chicken soup but
I hate eating the carrots Mum puts on my
plate. I make sure I turn the tap off in the
bathroom as much as possible and I explained
to my big brother how we get the water that
comes out our taps (check out the
Downpours
page of this site for a poster).

I'm a 'blue dude", love the colour, so
when I saw the Kids Club website I thought
"cool". My sister Kere is jealous because
she's 13 and too old to join our club. It
was pretty exciting getting my membership
pack in the post. When I'm not online I play
rugby and I love to eat watermelon.
Sometimes I imagine I'm an astronaut. I
wonder what it would be like to have water
in space...? In the meantime, I'm happy to
learn about using less water at home.
I get up early in the morning which
makes my Dad happy because he drives me to
school. I enjoy hearing other languages and
hope to learn one that's different to
English. Recently I tried sushi at the mall
and I think I like it. I like water for
swimming in and I'm especially interested in
waterwise gardening. I know how to use the
attachment on our garden hose and Mum thinks
we should get a rainbarrel to catch
rainwater for our garden. Yeah, I think so
too.

I really enjoy exploring things with my
computer. I found some really interesting
websites that show us how to care for our
environment so I've listed a few of them in
the Links section of this site. Some of them
have terrific games on them. Outside
interests include roller-blading and looking
for insects (I never hurt them). I wonder
how much water a praying mantis needs each
day? I think they get their drinks from
eating their food. Eeeecccchhhh but
interesting..

My family has already become used to me
reminding them to take shorter showers so I
think I've been an effective ambassador
already. Mum showed me how to read our water
meter outside so now I can do it all by
myself. I go all gooey when I get up each
morning and see my dog and her puppies. They
are SOOOO cute. I love swimming and
gardening with Mum and climbing trees. I'm
starting modern dancing soon- I can't wait.
