New Lynn
 In
1996, a pioneering, 5-day public design workshop - called a
charette -drafted comprehensive concept plans for
transforming New Lynn into a thriving, sustainable, town
centre.
Since then, the Council has developed a staged programme to
turn that vision into a reality. The links below connect to
key information about various aspects of the project and the
steps taken to date.
Key Milestones
- The Rewarewa Bridge
- bridge designed by an artist and "sculpted" by
engineers. Opened 1997.
- Expansion of Memorial Drive

New Lynn Community Centre
