New Lynn War Memorial - looking across Memorial Ave to LynnmallIn 1996, a pioneering, 5-day public design workshop - called a charette -drafted comprehensive concept plans for transforming New Lynn into a thriving, sustainable, town centre.

  • The Rewarewa Bridge - bridge designed by an artist and "sculpted" by engineers. Opened 1997.
  • Expansion of Memorial Drive
